Gordon Allen, P.T.
Gordon is a 1971 B.S. graduate of Wayne State University
School of Physical Therapy. He worked as a staff PT at
Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo from 1971-1974. While at
Bronson, he developed the Pulmonary Disease Rehab
Program. In 1973 he took a position at Southwest Rehab
Hospital in Battle Creek splitting his time between clinical
work and teaching in the Physical Therapist Assistant
Program at Kellogg Community College.  In 1974, Gordon
founded Rehab Associates. Through Rehab Associates, he
established Pulmonary Rehab programs at both Leila and
Community Hospitals. In 1976 he established the first home
health delivery of physical, occupational, and speech
therapy in Calhoun County in partnership with Visiting Nurse
Services.  .
Gina Schau, BA, LPT
Gina Schau, P.T.
Gina earned her B.A. degree  in 1980 at Albion College with
a Major in Biology and a Minor in Physical Education with a
teaching certificate.  She then attended the Mayo
Foundation School of Physical Therapy in Rochester
Minnesota - graduating in 1982.  She held a staff position at
Mayo Clinic and has served in Clinical Director and Regional
Director positions prior to coming to Rehab Associates in
1992.  Her character and knowledge exemplifies our
commitment to Excellence - Integrity - and Compassion.
CLINICAL STAFF
Kathy Mitchell, P.T.A.
Kathy earned her Associates degree as a Physical Therapist
Assistant at Kellogg Community College.  She graduated in
1973.  She began her career working for SouthWest
Regional Rehabilitation Center.  After four years Kathy took a
position at Oaklawn Hospital where she would work for the
next thirteen years.  She was asked to join our team in 1989
where excellence and integrity have been the hallmark of
her service.
Holly Olmstead, P.T.A.
Holly is a 2002 graduate of Kellogg Community College
where she earned her Associates degree as a Physical
Therapist Assistant.  Upon graduation she took a position at
Duane L. Waters Hospital in the Jackson State Prison. During
this time Holly also worked for Odd Fellows and Rebekahs
Nursing Home.  In 2005 she joined the team of Rehab
Associates.  Holly’s positive attitude and sincere compassion
make her a valued member of our team.
Teresa Ferris - P.T. tech
Teresa graduated from Marshall High School in 1972. She
was also a graduate of the Calhoun County Area Vocational
Center.   She then worked at Oaklawn hospital for the next
twenty years as a nurses aide, lab aide, and physical
therapy technician.  In 1992 Teresa was asked to come to
Rehab Associates.  She accepted the position as a physical
therapy technician.  Teresa keeps the clinic running smoothly
and efficiently while always having something positive to say
to clients and staff alike.
Ryan Murphy, P.T.A.
After serving three years in the United States Army, Ryan
attended Kellogg Community College where he graduated
with high honors in 2006 with a Physical Therapist Assistant
degree.  Ryan has  obtained his licence in the state of Ohio,
and will graduate in the spring of 2008 with a B.A. in
Management and Organizational Development from Spring
Arbor University.  Ryan has worked for Rehab Associates for
nearly two years, and plans to grow with the organization
for many years to come. He plans to attend the University of
Findlay in the spring of 2010 where he will obtain a Masters,
and then a Doctorate degree in physical therapy.  
All our therapists are licensed by the State of Michigan and graduates of programs accredited by the APTA or
the
AOTA.   Our physical therapist assistants are graduates of APTA accredited programs.  You will not be
treated by exercise physiologists, athletic trainers, kinesiotherapists, or any other unqualified personnel.
